I don't know much about this Katy Perry and I don't really care. All I know is this song is very very catchy and I like it! I'm sure to alot of people, namely guys, they won't care either. With a catchy song about two girls kissing and a video to go with it, I'm sure this song will stay at the top of the singles charts for awhile.

Anybody who believes that Hip Hop's ability to convey a strong message with a catchy, dance-able tune needs only to listen to this song, inspired by her family's revolutionary involvement in Sri Lanka. M.I.A. helps not only take Grime music to the next level, but she is bringing Grime to the United States in the way that everybody thought Dizzee Rascal was supposed to.

Not a knock on Dizzee or on Grime music at all; just saying that with Hip Hop, it always takes a much longer timeline for new music to gain mainstream acceptance.

M.I.A. (real name Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam) is not only a hot new recording artist; she's also a producer and a renowned visual artist. She attended London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where she studied fine art, film and video.

The Lyrics for Kardinal Offishall's new single Dangerous featuring Akon can be seen after the jump.

For those who don't know, Kardinal Offishall is widely considered the Hip Hop Ambassador of Canada. He should also be considered the Dancehall Reggae Ambassador of Canada, as his style is very Jamaican. Not surprisingly, considering the fact that his parents were born in Jamaica, and moved to Ontario before he was born.
